8 Days Aberdares, Samburu, Lake Nakuru, Naivasha & Maasai Mara Lodge Safari

Day 1: Nairobi to Aberdare National Park – Kenya

 After breakfast Nairobi depart from your Hotel to theAberdare National Park with our driver guide who will drive you to the Kenyan highlands.After about two hours’ drive from the airport or your hotel, you will drive through Karatina Town where You will then make a detour up the beautiful coffee / tea plantations in the foothills of Mount Kenya and have a stop-over to take some photos.

Thereafter, you will continue with your safari to the delightfully placed Aberdare Country Club for lunch in glorious surroundings that oozes colonial Kenya. The place reeks of the old colonial days with atmospheric rooms and a stunning garden. Or have your lunch at the Outspan if your accommodation is at Tree-tops Lodge

Then, you will have a drive safari through the forest. Here you will be able to see the elephants, buffaloes and other distinctive animals often seeing them in the dense vegetation or in the open glades in the forest.

You will arrive at recently, stylishly renovated tree-top The Ark Hotel, which offers different and exciting experiences directly from the lodge balcony or a secret that lies at the end of an underground walk from the lodge. You will have your dinner and stay at the Ark or Tree-tops Lodge

Day 2: Aberdares to Samburu Game Reserve North of Equator Line
Deapart at 06:30 hours for Samburu National Reserve via Mt. Kenya and the Equator. You will begin a game drive en-route to the lodge. Check in and have lunch upon arrival. Later in the afternoon, go for a game drive across the park and look out for the unique resident wildlife species like the Reticulated Giraffe, Grevy’s Zebra, Beisa Oryx. and the Blue legged Somali Ostrich. The game drive will last until sunset when you will return to Sopa Lodge for dinner and overnight. On the southern part of Samburu Game Reserve, you are guaranteed to see most of the Kenyan animals found in Samburu.

Day 3: Samburu Game Reserve
Early in the morning, go for a sunrise game viewing in search of wildlife that wanders in this park in the morning hours before the sun is hot. Return to the lodge for a full breakfast. After, you will leave Sumburu and drive to Lake Nakuru National Park and have lunch at the base of Mount Kenya. After lunch, the journey will continue through Nyahururu Waterfall to Lake Nakuru National Park. Since your accommodation is located inside the park we will have an evening game drive until 18:30 when the park closes. Lake Nakuru National Park is well known for its great masses of flamingos, the famous white and black rhino, and the endangered Roth's child giraffe species with five horns. Dinner and overnight will be at Lake Nakuru Wck camp. Prior arrangement is very much crucial with this accommodation.

Day 4: Samburu - Lake Nakuru National Park 

Depart early in the morning for Lake Nakuru National Park.  There shall be a stop to view the scenic Thompson falls at Nyahururu.  The drive via farming country and local  homesteads via the Great Rift Valley escarpment floor is scenic. Afternoon bird watching and game viewing drive.  Overnight at your lake Nakuru lodge Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.

Day 5: Lake Nakuru National Park - Naivasha 

Have a leisurely breakfast at the lodge enjoying the sights and sounds of the park. Proceed for a further drive at the park and depart in the late morning for the nearby Lake Naivasha. Check in at Lake Naivasha Simba lodge or Sopa lodge. Relax at the lodge after lunch. In the late afternoon, you can visit the Crescent island where you get to walk in the park to see the animals such as Giraffe, zebra and antelopes. Naivasha is also known for the many birds that can be sighted within the lodge grounds. Dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Naivasha - Masai Mara 

 An early breakfast followed by your drive to the Masai Mara. Arrive at the park for lunch at Mara Sopa lodge or Mara Simba lodge. Enjoy an afternoon game drive to track elephants, leopards, cheetah, lions, and buffaloes. Drive back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 7: Masai Mara Full Day 

Enjoy an early morning breakfast, you will then proceed for a full day game drive carrying picnic lunch with you. On this day you will drive to the Hippo Pool where you can take a break from the drive and see the Hippos bathing as well as Crocodiles. Enjoy a further game drive at the park. Drive back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 8: Masai Mara - Nairobi 

A morning game viewing drive at the Masai mara. An extra game drive as you depart the reserve. Proceed to Nairobi. Arrive Nairobi in the late afternoon. Drop off at your Nairobi hotel / Nairobi airport Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch.
